Frank Miller, Lee F. Rogers MD Professor of Medical Education; Section Chief Body Imaging; Medical Director, MR

Frank H. Miller, MD, is the Lee F. Rogers, MD, Endowed Professor of Medical Education, chief of the body imaging and medical director of MR at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Miller went to medical school and completed his residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He did an abdominal imaging fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a mini-fellowship in GI radiology at University of Pennsylvania.
His research interests relate to body MR, specifically pancreatic and hepatobiliary imaging, and oncologic imaging, including assessment of response to liver-directed therapy. In 2013, Dr. Miller received the Clinical Innovation Award from the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation for his work with MR elastography.
He has written over 200 papers and chapters, co-authored two books on GI and GU radiology, helped write the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for performance of MR in the liver and has served on the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Committees for GI and abdominal radiology.
Dr. Miller is a 2017-2018 Igor Laufer Visiting Professor for the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR) and a fellow of the ACR, SAR and Society of Body CT and MRI. He earned a Figley Fellowship in Radiology Journalism from the American Journal of Roentgenology and is the consulting editor for the Radiologic Clinics of North America and editor for Advances in Clinical Radiology.
