Srikanth Nagalla, MD, MS
Dr.Nagalla is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is also the program director for the hematology/oncology fellowship program. He moved to Dallas in 2016 from Philadelphia where he was the clinical director of Hematology and associate fellowship program director at Thomas Jefferson University. He graduated from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India.
Though he started his career as a physician scientist, he switched tracks to become a medical educator to focus on his passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of hematologists. His teaching spans the entire spectrum of learners ranging from medical students to practicing physicians. He serves as the ASH representative to the Association of Specialty Professors Council. He also serves on the ASH medical education subcommittee and the ASH benign hematology curriculum oversight committee. He is currently working on the ACGME milestones 2.0 project for Hematology/Oncology. His clinical and research interests focus on non-malignant hematology, mainly hemostasis and thrombosis.
