I-Fan Mau, MD PhD
Ted Mau, MD PhD, is Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Director of the Voice Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Mau graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in biochemical sciences from Harvard College. He completed a Ph.D. in biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco, before obtaining his medical degree from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Mau returned to UCSF for his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery then completed a fellowship in laryngology and care of the professional voice at Vanderbilt. He joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2008 and established the Voice Center, now the premier referral center for voice and laryngeal disorders in North Texas and beyond. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Mau is also engaged in clinical and laboratory research on the physiology and biomechanics of voice production.
