Teresa Collins-Jones
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Collins-Jones has worked extensively with children and families diagnosed with complex medical conditions and developmental disabilities. She completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine before serving as a member of the National Health Service Corps in frontier Wyoming. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Collins-Jones has held academic and leadership positions in a university setting.
At Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRH), she has provided consultation and liaison service through the outpatient orthopedic clinics and inpatient unit on cases with a wide range of behavioral, medical, and psychological problems. She conducts psychological assessments with children and young adults, provides individual and family outpatient psychotherapy, and offers pain management services to patients who report significant changes to their level of functioning and quality of life. Dr. Collins-Jones also collaborates with several orthopedic surgeons on research projects that address the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional issues of patients with spinal deformities and back pain.
