Seth Blumberg, M.D. Ph.D.
My research has focused on developing and applying data-driven computational models of emerging infectious diseases. My interest is to help elucidate risk factors for disease emergence and quantify the impact of patient-specific or population-wide control interventions. I have applied my methods to measles, smallpox, monkeypox, MERS and trachoma . My current focus is to understand the dynamics of hospital-acquired infections, with a particular attention to methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
