Susan Fogus, RN, BSN
Susan is a registered nurse with 17 years’ experience in transplant nursing. Her love of transplant began as a staff nurse at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, which led her to pursue the inpatient transplant coordinator role and becoming the Senior Transplant Coordinator prior to transitioning to UT Southwestern Medical Center. She has been employed by UT Southwestern Medical Center for the past 8 years, currently serving as the Manager of Quality and Compliance for their heart, lung, liver and kidney transplant programs and heart, lung, vascular service line, guiding performance improvement projects, quality initiatives and regulatory compliance. Susan is also an experienced transplant program surveyor and conducted surveys for Health Care Management Solutions under a contract for CMS from 2014 to 2018. Susan earned her Bachelors of Science in nursing from University of Texas at Arlington and is an active member of the Organization of Transplant Professionals, Texas Transplant Society and the International Transplant Nurses Society, previously serving as Treasurer and Vice President for the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter.
