Amie Swindle, MSN, BSN, RN
Amie Swindle, MSN, RN joined the High Reliability Team as the Manager of the department in December 2017. Prior to joining our team, Amie worked as a part of the UTSW Patient Safety and Accreditation team, where she served as the manager of accreditation. In this position, she played a crucial role in preparing and leading our organization through accreditation cycles for numerous agencies as well as assisting with daily compliance with regulatory standards throughout the hospitals and hospital based clinics. She has overseen and chaired the standardizing and implementation of many key organizational policies and procedures, as well as offered insight and servant leadership to UTSW, supporting the work of various other inter-professional teams focusing on quality assurance and quality improvement. Amie is an accomplished clinical nurse, with significant experience as a nurse manager. Amie joins the team as a certified TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer, with significant change management experience. In her new role, she will be responsible for promoting and implementing principles of high reliability and best practices throughout UTSW’s hospitals and clinics.
