Latresa Billings, Pharm.D.. BCPS
Latresa K. Billings, Pharm.D., BCPS is a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator/PGY1 Residency Coordinator at UT Southwestern Medical Center Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas, Texas serving on the committees of Pharmacy Leadership Cabinet, Medication Safety, Inpatient Diabetes, Comprehensive Stroke, Neurocritical Care Quality, and Inpatient Investigational Drug. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science with emphasis in chemistry (1995), she graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona (2002) followed by completion of General Practice Residency with the Dallas VA Medical Center in collaboration with Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy. She continues active engagement in leadership as Secretary and Executive Board member of the Texas Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, following her term as President of the Metroplex Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. Her primary interests include pharmacy practice in General and Critical Care Medicine with emphasis in Neurosurgical/Neurological services, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As the former Worthy Chief Counsel for the Alpha Nu chapter, she has continued her contributions to the Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity as alumnus, always heeding to the principle that “each one needs the help of the others”. She works as Relief Pharmacist for Wal-mart and Sam’s Club Pharmacies. She look forward to the cultivation of pharmacy students and residents becoming the new practitioners of our future.
