Clare McCormick-Baw, MD, PhD
Clare McCormick-Baw first received her doctor of philosophy at University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2009 working with Dr. Richard O'Callaghan on virulence factors in ocular bacterial infections. She has multiple published works on virulence, antimicrobial therapy of bacterial keratitis and developed new ocular models of infection in animals. She then attended Louisiana State University Medical Center New Orleans where she obtained her doctor of medicine degree in 2014. Following graduation from medical school, Clare attended Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology residency training at Baylor Scott and White in Temple. She is a board certified AP/CP Pathologist and is currently completing her fellowship in Medical Microbiology at UT Southwestern.
