Dr. Amit G. Singal, MD MS is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is an expert in hepatocellular carcinoma, particularly in early tumor detection and screening process failures, and serves as Medical Director of the Liver Tumor Program. He currently is leading several NIH and CPRIT funded projects to evaluate interventions to improve the effectiveness of early tumor detection, treatment, and overall prognosis among patients with cirrhosis in the United States, and he has published over 100 scientific papers on these topics. He is involved in several professional societies, including being on the governing board of the International Liver Cancer Association and serving as the vice chair of the AASLD practice guidelines committee.
