Upon graduating medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr Guerrero travelled to San Antonio to complete his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He then completed a year of training in Transplant Hepatology followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr Guerrero is board certified in Transplant Hepatology and has been faculty at the Health Science Center in San Antonio since 2006. As an associate professor, Dr Guerrero focuses on the treatment of advanced liver disease and post-liver transplant recipients.
