Bradley Marple, Professor and Chairman, Department of Otolaryngology
Dr. Brad F. Marple, M.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, UT Southwestern Medical Center and Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education. He has served as Chief of Otolaryngology, Parkland Memorial Hospital (2000 to 2004), Chief of Otolaryngology, Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital (1995 to 2000), Vice Chief of Staff at Zale Lipshy University Hospital (2001) and was Chief of Staff at Zale Lipshy University Hospital (2002, 2007-2009). He has served on the Editorial Advisory Board for Respiratory Reviews and has been a reviewer for Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Journal of Rhinology, International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology, and Laryngoscope. He has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles, multiple book chapters, and has also co-edited three textbooks.
Dr. Marple has held several national leadership roles and served on several national committees including: Chair of the Otolaryngology Residency Review Committee for ACGME; President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA); Chair of the AAO-HNS Rhinology and Paranasal Sinus Committee; Board of Directors for American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS); American Medical Association Delegate for the AAOA; Senior Examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABO).
