Went to University of Kansas for undergraduate degree and medical school. Completed OB/Gyn residency Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. Did OB/Gyn Infectious Disease Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine followed by fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern. Completed Master's degree in Epidemiology in 1993 at UT Houston School of Public Health.
After spending 9 years in Kansas University at Wichita as faculty, came to UTSW Department of OB/Gyn in 2003. Currently Clinical Professor in OB/Gyn UTSW and Director of High Risk Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
