Melissa Pennington, D.O.
Dr. Melissa Pennington is a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, chemical dependency, and problematic sexual behavior. She is the Medical Director of Sante Center for Healing, a privately owned addiction treatment center in Argyle, TX. Prior to joining Sante, she served as medical director of the Eating Disorders Program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Of Dallas from 2010-2015. She attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed her psychiatry residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, where she was awarded intern of the year and served as chief resident for two consecutive years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and has completed advanced training in the treatment of problematic sexual behavior through the Society for Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH). She is an acting board member for the DFW chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
