Lisa King has spent more than 20 years, having lived, taught, counseled, served and worked, with individuals from all walks of life in North America, Latin America, and Asia. Areas of specialization include: trauma, codependency, depression, anxiety, identity, abuse, neglect, poverty, suicidal thoughts and addiction. From these experiences, Lisa has acquired skills in effective communication, personal and professional development, team building, strategic planning and crisis management.
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She is passionate about utilizing CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) to challenge stuck points and faulty ways of thinking and to help people find and experience transformational healing and hope. Lisa co-facilitated in Santé Center for Healing’s inaugural series of therapeutic intensives – Recovering from Trauma and Recovering from Codependency.
Lisa currently facilitates the 4-day Therapy Intensive Workshops at Santé – Mindful Transformation: Redefining your Trauma and Free To Be Me: Rescuing Yourself From Codependency. Utilizing a collaborative approach, Lisa encourages individuals to identify problematic patterns of thinking and to begin establishing coping strategies that encourage personal growth and self-care. Lisa also provides individual therapy services in the Community Based Services Clinic at Santé Center for Healing as well.
