Amber Gemmell, MS, CGC
After graduating with her Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Minnesota in 2016, Amber joined the UT Southwestern Medical Center Cancer Genetics Program.
Amber sees patients at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes at the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, Texas Health Resources-Dallas, Parkland Hospital and the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. In addition to her clinical roles, Amber is actively involved in research, education and community outreach. Amber’s current research focuses on the management practices of genetic counselors in families with unexplained, complex histories of cancer, as well as outcomes of our institution’s pancreatic cancer prevention program.
