Yang Park, Ph.D.
Yang Park, Ph.D. is a board-certified medical physicist and the lead physicist of the gastrointestinal radiation therapy team at UT Southwestern. While he is providing physics consults to the clinic for a variation of radiation treatments, such as IMRT, SRS, and SBRT, his clinical/research focus has been on motion management and image-guided radiation therapy. He also serves as the associate director of the Medical Physics Residency Program at UT Southwestern. Dr. Park received his doctorate degree in Medical Physics from the Seoul National University in South Korea, in 2011. In 2013, after working for the Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) for 3 years as a faculty medical physicist, Dr. Park joined Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, as a postdoctoral research fellow. In 2014, Dr. Park was appointed to an instructor position, a faculty position in Harvard Medical School. Dr. Park received a certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in 2015, which made him as a qualified medical physicist for clinical practice in radiation oncology. In 2016, Dr. Park joined the department of radiation oncology in University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSWMC), as an assistant professor.
