Karla Hutcherson, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor
Karla Hutcherson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Texas practicing as a Clinical Therapist and Emergency Room Liaison in the Children's Health Emergency Room. She is also a part of the SPARC (Suicide Prevention and Resilience at Children's) Team in the Outpatient Clinic and works closely with the Psychiatry Consult Liaison Team. As part of the SPARC program, Karla works closely with the Hanna 4 Hope organization and speaks at schools and community events throughout the state of Texas about adolescent depression and suicide prevention. Before joining Children's Health in 2014, Karla ran a private practice for 12 years with experience treating children, adolescents, and families. She has worked with the family court system in Denton County as well as provided counseling services for the Foster Care system in the Dallas area. Karla received her Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas and her undergraduate degree at Abilene Christian University.
