Joy Chen, MD
Joy Lo Chen is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. She practices general anesthesiology at Parkland and critical care medicine at the North Texas Veterans Affairs Hospital, as the medical director of the thoracic ICU and surgical ICU. She also practices in the surgical and cardiovascular ICU's at Clements University Hospital. Joy was born in Dallas and grew up in Plano, Texas. She attended college at the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration and then completed anesthesiology residency and critical care fellowship at UT Southwestern. Joy is married to her husband of ten years and has two small children, Noah and Madison.
