Jorge Salinas
Dr. Jorge Salinas was born in Lima Peru. Studied Medicine at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He did his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Emory University. He did a Fogarty Global Health fellowship in Manaus Brazil studying biomarkers for severe malaria. He was part of the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He currently serves as Hospital Epidemiologist at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
