Neb Duric, Ph.D.

Dr. Duric obtained his PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Toronto. After a 20 year career in cosmic ray research he transitioned to the medical field, specializing in breast imaging. He is currently Professor Of Oncology at Wayne State University and carries out his clinical research at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr. Duric's recent focus has been the development of ultrasound tomography, a novel breast imaging device that has been used to generate clinical research along the continuum of breast cancer management from risk assessment and screening to diagnostics and treatment monitoring. He co-founded Delphinus Medical Technologies in 2010 in order to commercialize the ultrasound tomography research. He currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Delphinus and splits his time between his commercial and academic activities.
