George Liu, DPM
Dr. Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is attending staff for the Foot and Ankle Service at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital & Health System level 1 trauma center. He is faculty with the Orthopaedic Surgery residency training program.
He completed his internship and foot and ankle surgical residency training at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Liu completed AO trauma fellowship program at Carl Gustav University Hospital of Dresden University, Germany and an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the University of Catania, Italy.
Dr. Liu has served as program chair to state and national scientific symposiums and has been an invited speaker nationally. He serves as section editor for adult rearfoot and ankle reconstruction in Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Orthopaedics Research and Traumatology and as a reviewer for Injury International Journal of the Care of the Injured.
His clinical and research interests include traumatic foot and ankle injuries, arthritis, conservative and surgical management of Charcot arthropathy.
