Dorothy Sendelbach, MD
Dr. Sendelbach’s undergraduate degree is in chemical engineering, from Rutgers University. She subsequently graduated from New Jersey Medical School in Newark New Jersey. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Children’s Medical Center. Her work experience includes a stint in a pediatric emergency room, followed by 7 years as a primary care pediatrician in an inner-city clinic for the indigent and working poor. For the past 24 years she has been a member of the department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical School and has achieved the rank of Professor. As a general pediatrician, she has worked in the newborn nursery, the general pediatric setting and in the outpatient clinic. Her interest is in education; she was an associate program director for the Pediatric Residency program, the Director of the UT PACT Program, and is now Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education.
She is married, with 3 adult children, (all born Texans).
