mingyi Chen, MD, PhD
I am a physician scientist. I have devoted my career to cancer research with focus on hematologic disease. My long-term research goals are to define the molecular pathogenesis of disease. Thus, my laboratory primarily focuses on both the genetic and epigenetic alterations of endothelial cells and hematopoietic cells, with each project guided by methods intended to elucidate basic principles as well as practical solutions. The pathogenesis of malignant lymphoma, leukemia and other cancer stem cells are the primary diseases against which advancements in my laboratory are targeted, but the goal is to provide insights that will be applicable to a number of other cancer types, tumor immunology and metabolic/degenerative disorders. Through cutting-edge technologies and broadly collaborative approaches, I am also committed to build a strong, unique and competitive research program that will ultimately benefit patients.
