Moved to Texas in 1993 and began to work at Parkland in the Neuro ICU and as a neuro case manager for approx. 4 years
Took clinical educator position at Zale Lipshy UH from 1997-2001, while attending UTA for ACNP/MSN
Worked at UTSW, followed by private neurosurgery practice in both brain & spine from 2006 to 2018
Came to UTSW to take a position as the DSRIP nurse practitioner for family medicine in Oct 2018.
Have precepted NP students throughout NP career, have done national lectures on neurosurgery topics
Started an NP and pharmacist led hypertension clinic at the Texas Health resources campus and am about to start a research project on that, looking at whether or not the frequency and content of patient appts is associated with quicker attainment of goal BP
