Elie Mouhayar
<h1 style="margin-bottom:8px; margin-top:24px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="font-weight:normal">Dr. Mouhayar is a Professor of Medicine in the Department of cardiology at UT/MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). He has a special interest in the care of cardiovascular diseases in cancer patients and cancer survivors (Onco-cardiology). He serves as the Medical Director of the non-invasive vascular laboratory and also the Associate Medical Director of The Cardiopulmonary Center at MDACC. His clinical work is aimed at managing and investigating cardiovascular toxicities related to cancer and cancer therapies. His research work include several protocols looking at many aspects of monitoring and managing cardiovascular toxicity secondary to cancer therapy. He has numorous publications related to etiology, mechanism, management and outcome of specific cardiovascular syndromes in the cancer population.Dr. Mouhayar has been recognized and received awards for his active involvement in the supervision, training, education and mentoring of medical students, residents and cardiology fellows.</span></span></span></h1>
