Kristen Cummings, BSN, RN, RNC-OB, C-EFM
Kristen Cummings is the Perinatal Outreach Coordinator for Women and Infants Specialty Health Division at Parkland Health & Hospital System. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University College Station in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University in 2012. She has been a Labor & Delivery nurse at Parkland since September of 2012, where she serves as an inaugural member of the peri-operative team.
Kristen is a board certified nurse in inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring. She is also an active member of AWHONN. She has taken a special interest in high risk pregnancies, and she currently practices as a charge nurse in the L&D Operating Room or L&D Recovery Room/ECU.
As Perinatal Outreach Coordinator, she offers educational outreach opportunities to surrounding local hospitals in efforts to further educate nursing staff and curb maternal morbidity & mortality in Texas.
