Kathi Randall, Kathi Salley Randall, MSN, CNS, NNP
Kathi Randall, RN, MSN, CNS, NNP-BC is a masters-prepared Clinical Nurse Specialist and board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of neonatal clinical expertise. She is also the founder of Synapse Care Solutions, an education and consulting company dedicated to supporting Neonatal Neuro-Critical Care Units.
Kathi is the NeuroNICU program consultant at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, but also spends a good amount of her time traveling the globe supporting other NeuroNICU programs from Thailand to Brazil.
She has published several peer-reviewed articles on the subject of aEEG and NeuroNICU programs; as well as the author of several chapters on nursing practice related to therapeutic hypothermia and the bedside use of aEEG. And in 2018, Kathi helped to spearhead the development of the NeuroNICU certification exam.
Through Synapse Care, Kathi offers NeuroNICU program consultation, in-person workshops, online courses, and an annual nurses' conference called The ONE that focuses on the expanding role of nurses and other care providers in the NeuroNICU. The ONE Conference focuses on the difference that ONE clinician can make for ONE baby and their ONE brain in ONE moment.
