Siviero Agazzi, MD
Italian born and Swiss trained, Siviero Agazzi obtained the Swiss Board Certification in Neurological Surgery in 2002. He pursued advanced training in complex cranial surgery by completing a fellowship in Skull Base and Cerebrovascular Surgery at the University of South Florida where, in 2005 he was invited to join the faculty. In 2010 he obtained an MBA degree from the USF Muma College of Business.
Dr Agazzi is the Vice Chairman and Director of the Division of Cranial Surgery, at the University of South Florida Department of Neurosurgery. His clinical and research focus is on vestibular schwannomas and his surgical practice includes convexity and skull base meningiomas, endoscopic transnasal and intraventricular surgery and open vascular surgical procedures (aneurysms, AVMs and vascular bypass).
Dr Agazzi is the current director of the USF Complex Cranial Surgery fellowship. Limited to one fellow per year, this fellowship provides an in depht exposure to both skull base tumors as well as open vascular neurosurgery including aneurysms, AVMs and EC-IC bypass. Over the past 13 years, this fellowship has successfully prepared young neurosurgeon for academic positions in complex cranial surgery,
Dr Agazzi is married and has 2 children. He enjoys competing in triathlons (age group category), Kiteboarding on the Tampa Bay waters and Skiing in the Alps or Rockies
