Karin Hunt, MSW, LCSW
Karin Hunt has been in behavioral health since 1997, the year after Santé was founded. A therapist since 2001, Karin holds a Master’s of Social Work from University of Utah. She comes to Santé from Utah, where her spectrum of career experiences included adoption work, outpatient therapy in a variety of settings, and eight years of dual-diagnosis, substance use disorder residential treatment. Karin’s contributions to Santé includes creating relationships with clients in order to understand them, see them for who they are, and to help them see the same. She introduces clients to new ways of managing the hurt that accompanies addiction and mental health issues. Karin chose Santé because she aligns with the way Santé views clients, treating them for the issues that brought them to treatment without threatening to discharge them for those very behaviors with which they need help. Karin enjoys being part of this integrated team approach and describes her Santé colleagues as a sharp clinical team with genuine expertise in handling complex issues. In her spare time, Karin spends time with family and friends; she also loves traveling, reading and cooking.
