Christopher Setiawan, M.D.
Christopher T. Setiawan, M.D., originally joined the UTSW Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care in 2012, after completing his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has dedicated his career to clinical excellence in the care of the neonatal and pediatric populations and is an accomplished educator of pediatric anesthesia to a variety of trainees rotating throughout the system. He was awarded the Fellowship Faculty of the Year Recognition award twice during his time at UTSW and regularly is engaged mentoring fellows, residents and other trainees alike. He currently serves as Director for Remote Anesthesia Services and has been heavily involved in the development and planning of several anesthesia locations throughout the UTSW system involving pediatric anesthesia services, such as the East Radiation Oncology Center, Gamma Knife, PET MRI, and Magnetoencephalography Center. Dr. Setiawan earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
