Yvette Chapman, RN, BSN, CCTC
Yvette Chapman has been in transplant for almost 15 years. She has been employed with Southwest Transplant Alliance for 6 years and has served as the Dir. of Quality and for the past 4 years as the Dir., of Transplant Center Development. In this position she provides ongoing support, consultation and education to the hospital transplant center that are STA’s partners. Her mission is to build rapport and foster collaboration between the organ procurement community and the transplant center community. Prior to joining STA, Yvette was in clinical operations at the Dallas Nephrology Associates where she served as the Office Practice Manager. With more than a decade in healthcare, Yvette began her career in organ transplantation working as a nurse at Methodist Dallas in the transplant unit. She later became the Senior Transplant Coordinator at The Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Yvette earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from South University in Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently working on her masters in nursing from the same university. She is also a certified clinical transplant coordinator. Yvette is a member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations, serves on the UNOS Transplant Administrators Committee, the American Society of Transplantation, the American Nephrology Nurses Association, the Organization of Transplant Professionals, the Texas Transplant Society, and is the former president of the Dallas chapter of the International Transplant Nurse Society.
