Dr. Schroder completed his training In General and thoracic Surgery at Duke. Since that time, he has been an attending in the Division of Throacic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is the Surgical Director of the Heart Transplant Program and Co-director of the CTICU. Among his clinical research accomplishments include being the nation PI on the EXPAND Heart trial and the site PI, and leading enroller, in the US DCD Heart TRial.
