Julie Trivedi, MD
Dr. Trivedi is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases & Geographic Medicine and serves as the Medical Director of Infection Prevention for UT Southwestern Medical Center. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she received her medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ). She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and then a fellowship in Infectious Diseases from Boston University Medical Center. Prior to joining us in 2017, she was a clinical associate in the ID division at Johns Hopkins and also became the Hospital epidemiologist for Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She joined UTSW in 2017 where she has been involved the COVID response, emerging pathogen preparedness and is the coordinator for the Internal Medicine Leadership Lecture Series. She has been actively involved with SHEA as the current Chair for SHEA Spring 2024 and vice-chair for SHEA DEI. She believes in the value of life and career coaching as a way to enhance fulfillment in our personal and professional lives and is currently working on becoming a Certified Professional Coactive Coach through CTI.
