Drew Kern, MD MS

I am a board certified neurologist and movement disorders specialist at the University of Colorado Denver. I completed my neurology residency at the University of Colorado Denver and my clinical fellowship in movement disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Anthony Lang and my deep brain stimulation and advanced treatments in Parkinson’s disease training under the supervision of Dr. Alfonso Fasano at the Toronto Western Hospital. My research is focused on advanced treatment option in movement disorders. I study novel drug delivery systems, and surgical gene delivery systems, explore novel targets in DBS, improve upon targeting of DBS, optimize of DBS programming, identify potential gender discrepancies in DBS, and improve our understanding of neuropathological circuitry.
