I was born and raised in Dallas. I attended Swarthmore College in PA, where I double majored in biology and Spanish literature. I returned to Texas for medical school and graduated AOA from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. I completed my OBGYN residency and my MFM fellowship at UT Southwestern. My area of interest and expertise is maternal safety and quality improvement and maternal morbidity/mortality reduction. I hold multiple regional quality improvement leadership roles at the state level and also serve as the maternal medical director at Clements University Hospital.
