Hamid Djalilian

Dr. Djalilian is the director of neurotology and skull base surgery at the University of California Irvine. He is a professor of otolaryngology and biomedical engineering. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Minnesota and completed his Otolaryngology residency at the same institution. He completed his fellowship training at the Minnesota Ear, Head & Neck Clinic and the University of Minnesota.
He has published over 150 peer-reviewed, 130 invited articles and book chapters, and one book. In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Djalilian conducts research in several areas including hearing loss, tinnitus, otitis media, and on the role of migraine in ear diseases. Dr. Djalilian has developed several innovative devices for the treatment of hearing loss, otitis media, and tinnitus which have received NIH and NSF funding and are undergoing clinical trials.
