Kristine Jennings, MSN, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC  grew up in sunny southern California, ultimately completing her nursing undergraduate education at Loma Linda University.  She became an RN in 1994 and worked as such for 10 years as a bedside nurse for med surg, surgical ICU and transplant ICU prior applying to graduate school.  She graduated with her MSN, as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of California Los Angeles in 2004.  She has worked in several surgical specialties with a vast majority of her career in Liver, Kidney and Pancreas transplantation.   She returned to graduate school to obtain a post masters Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2014 to expand her scope of practice. She transitioned into Bariatric surgery in 2012, where she continues to work today.  She is a nurse practitioner for bariatric, general and foregut surgery at our Frisco UTSW campus and provides inpatient care at Texas Health Frisco where her teams surgeries are mostly completed. 

She is a member of AANP, ASMBS (American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery), OMA (Obesity Medical Association) and TNP (Texas Nurse practitioners).
