Essie Mathews is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of specialized experience in neurocritical care and stroke management. Currently practicing at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, she provides expert care for patients facing complex neurological emergencies, including acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and manages perioperative recovery for neurovascular and spinal surgeries.

Dr. Mathews is recognized for her mastery of advanced clinical procedures, including arterial and central line placements.
