Ronnie Rosenthal
Rosenthal Brief Bio
Dr. Rosenthal is Professor of Surgery and Geriatrics at Yale and has been involved in geriatrics in surgery for almost four decades. She is an active General Surgeon and is in her 22nd year as Chief of Surgery at the Yale VA in West Haven, CT. She currently Chairs the ACS Geriatric Surgery Task Force and the ACS Geriatric Verification Program Steering Committee. She has written many peer reviewed papers and chapters on the topic and is the lead editor on the major textbook in the field Principles and Practice of Geriatric Surgery (3rd ed released October 2020) She has also had several grants related to educational and clinical aspects of geriatric surgery, including being the Co-PI with Dr. Clifford Ko ( Director of Quality Programs for the ACS) on the John A. Hartford Foundation funded Coalition for Quality in Geriatric Surgery grant that lead to the development of the ASC GSV program. She is also currently on the advisory panel for the IHI / JAHF Age Friendly Health Systems Project.
