Rachel Jamison, MD

Dr. Rachel Jamison is a pediatric cardiologist and the Medical Director of Hope Ignited, a non-profit organization working in Guinea, West Africa. She completed medical school, pediatric residency, chief residency, and cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern where she co-founded the Pediatric Global Health Education Program. She now lives full-time in Guinea where Hope Ignited's team is building the country's first pediatric center of excellence. The center will house general and specialty pediatric services, including the only pediatric cardiology clinic in the country. The purpose of the center is to provide high quality, compassionate care to children in Guinea while also training local medical professionals to do the same through locally-recognized diploma programs and international partnerships aimed at capacity building.
