Jakub Furmaga, MD

Dr Jakub Furmaga is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His areas of interest include occupational health, clinical informatics, medical toxicology, and emergency medicine. He graduated University of Texas Health and Science Center at San Antonio Medical School in 2010, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic in 2013, and finished a clinical fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2015. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Clinical Informatics. In 2022 He became Medical Director of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Occupational Health. He is interested in drug testing, laboratory medicine, and workplace medical surveillance programs.
