Samuel McDonald, MD, MS
Dr. Samuel McDonald is an Emergency Medicine physician at UT Southwestern. He works clinically in the Clements University Hospital and Parkland Hospital Emergency Departments where he acts as the EHR Physician Champion. He was a prior research mathematician for the US Department of Defense and has completed a Master’s in Biomedical Informatics with a concentration in Health Data Science. His research interests are in clinical decision support and clinical predictive modeling. He hopes to utilize this clinical and technical expertise to develop tools that integrate within the EHR to provide real-time, actionable information that aid in improving the quality of care provided in the emergency department.
