I am a native Louisianan and attended both college & medical school at LSU. I completed my Child Neurology residency in 2017 from UAMS/Arkansas Children's in Little Rock and a Pediatric Neuromuscular fellowship in 2018 at UT-Southwestern/Children's Health in Dallas. For 4 years I was on faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center & Children's of Mississippi in Jackson. Since January 2023 I have been on faculty at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, working at the UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's.
I was introduced to Neuromuscular Medicine in my personal life before it became my professional passion. My best friend of more than 20 years has SMA. Because of her, I am a better person and better physician than I would have ever been without knowing her.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Randy and our son Stanley.
