Catherine Ikemba, MD, Associate Professor Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology
Dr. Ikemba is a native of California where she completed her Bachelors in Biochemistry at UCLA and Medical School at USC. She then traveled to New York for Pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx where she met her husband James. Subsequently she moved to Texas for Pediatric Cardiology training at Texas Children/s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine and an additional fourth year in non invasive imaging (Fetal echo). Her first job was at UT Southwestern where she has practiced for 18 years (as of 2021) and become director of the Fetal Heart Program at Children's Medical Center. She has two beautiful daughters and enjoys swimming and Yoga.
