Benjamin Bryner, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Co-Director of Duke ECMO Program
Dr. Ben Bryner is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Duke University. He is Co-Director of the Duke Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program. His clinical interest is adult cardiac surgery, specifically heart failure. He is involved in multiple trials of organ preservation for heart transplantation and of ways to improve outcomes after durable left ventricular assist device (LVAD) insertion. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed general surgery residency at the University of Michgan before training in cardiothoracic surgery at Duke University.
