SUSANA LAMPLEY, M.D.

Dr. Lampley is a clinical psychiatrist working at Terrell State Hospital with both civil and forensic patients. In addition to her work at Terrell State Hospital, she runs a small private practice specializing in forensic assessments. She is a veteran of the United States Army and served two tours overseas as a combat medic. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in biology, with minors in chemistry and history. She attended medical school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. While at TTUHSC she was nominated by peers and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She moved to Dallas for her internship and psychiatry residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Health and Hospital System. During residency, she was an American Psychiatric Association Women’s Mental Health Fellow and was presented with the Symonds Fellowship Award from the Association of Women in Psychiatry. She graduated on the residency program's women’s mental health track. She continued her training after residency and completed a fellowship with the UT Southwestern Forensic Psychiatry Program.
