Chung Sang Tse, M.D.
I am currently engaged in an Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) Preceptorship at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I received my medical degree at the Yale School of Medicine (Farr Scholar) and completed Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester) then Gastroenterology fellowship at Brown University. I am committed to providing excellent clinical care for individuals with IBD and I am passionate about clinical research to improve the health and disease outcomes in IBD. I published 25 peer-reviewed articles, 2 book chapters, and had 4 podium presentations at Digestive Diseases Week (DDW) during my medical training. I am a co-recipient of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Uniting to Care & Cure Award as part of my work with Dr. Samir Shah at Brown University within the IBD Qorus Learning Health System. Presently, I am planning research studies with Dr. Brigid Boland and Dr. Siddharth Singh to better characterize non-inflammatory residual GI symptoms using the UCSD Biobank. My career goal is to be a leading academic gastroenterologist who excels in patient care and clinical research within the field of psychosocial care in IBD.
