Dawn Johnson, M.D.
Dawn D. Johnson, MD is a general pediatrician, the Medical Director of the Primary Care Clinic, the Course Director of the Practice to Practice lecture series, chair of the Joint Quality and Patient Safety Committee and volunteer faculty at UT Southwestern Medical School.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and her doctorate in medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She accepted a faculty appointment UTSW after completing residency where she worked as the leader of several ambulatory programs and as a Hospitalist for 14 years. She spent 6 years living and practicing medicine in South Africa in a PEPFAR HIV and TB program.
