Anitha Litty, DNP, FNP-C, CDCES, APRN
Dr. Anitha Litty is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine – Endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her care is focused on diabetes management in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Litty completed her Bachelors in Nursing, Masters in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner), and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the Texas Woman’s University. She completed her post-masters certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University Texas in Arlington recently in August 2021. In addition to this she is also a certified diabetes care and education specialist educator.
She has been working as a nurse practitioner for the past 13+ years and in that 10 years are with UTSW endocrinology. Anitha love to help people with diabetes – equipping them to self-manage their disease and preventing possible complications. She has many presentations, projects, and publications to her credit and recently published her experience in the ‘Medical Care of Type 2 Diabetes’ book sponsored by the American Diabetes Association. She proudly serves as a preceptor and mentor with the UTSW mentorship program.
She is a professional member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), North Texas Nurse Practitioner Association (NTNP), American Diabetes Association (ADA), and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP).
